Christine Daae Dress

So this is my entry for *megoomba's Weekly Fanart Challenge - Week 6. The theme was Phantom of the Opera and everyone was allowed to not only draw characters from the book/musical/movie, but they were also allowed to put their own spin on things by using their own characters and such. I decided to put a twist on PotO by re-designing the dress that Christine wears in the film when she sings "Think of Me."

This dress is meant to be a more modern piece, wearable in today's society. It's basically an off the shoulder dress with a corset top over it. The dress itself brings in elements from the movie costume because it is cream, has gold accents, and the skirt is very light (made of tulle) like Christine's. The corset top, although black, brings in the bodice element from her gown in the film. Gold accents on the top tie it all together. Also note that she is wearing gold ballet slippers, because although you can't see Christine's shoes in the film, she was a dancer, so ballet slippers just make sense.
